Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract. You'll provide care to telemetry patients on a med/surg unit, with potential to float to similar patient populations in other areas of the facility.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts (days 07:00–19:30 / nights 19:00–07:30)
• Shifts may rotate to meet operational needs; the facility will make every effort to honor your preferred schedule
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday
• Start date: December 4, 2026

Requirements

• Active RN license: Ohio or compact state (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 12 months permanent experience in med/surg telemetry or related specialty
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, and NIHSS
• Manager or supervisor reference from work in the past 12 months (no peer references)

What to Expect

During orientation, you'll complete an ECG rhythm recognition assessment and safeMedicate training. Acceptable scores on both are required to continue. You have a maximum of two attempts to pass.

Background Requirements

• Background check required; open cases will not be accepted
• No license hits acceptable
• BCI/FBI clearance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing

This is a straightforward telemetry assignment in a fast-paced med/surg environment. Interested candidates should be prepared to discuss scheduling flexibility and provide current certifications at the time of application.
