ICU Registered Nurse — Elizabethtown, KY

Night Shift | 13-Week Contract | Start: November 30, 2026

Join a critical care unit providing intensive, high-acuity nursing care to complex patient populations. This night shift position (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) is a 13-week travel contract with a start date of November 30, 2026.

About the Role

You'll deliver comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring and advanced life support. Clinical responsibilities include:

• Managing patients on mechanical ventilation, arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Titrating vasoactive and sedation drips per physician orders
• Performing rapid assessments and responding to acute changes in patient condition
• Participating in code and rapid response interventions
• Collaborating with intensivists, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams on individualized treatment plans
• Providing patient and family education on condition, treatment, and care needs
• Maintaining accurate, thorough documentation

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky (or applicable compact license)
• ADN or BSN (BSN preferred)
• BLS required; ACLS required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/critical care experience
• Demonstrated proficiency with critical care equipment and titratable drip management
• CCRN certification preferred

Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
