NICU Registered Nurse – Dallas, TX

Position Overview

Join the NICU team for a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct care to neonates from 27 weeks gestation through age 2 years in a specialized intensive care environment. This is a day shift role (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) with rotating weekend and holiday coverage.

Unit Overview

Clinical Scope

You'll manage ventilators, oscillators, bubble CPAP, and NIRS monitoring. Procedures on the unit include central line insertions, circumcisions, gastroschisis reductions, PDA ligations, and exploratory laparotomies. Experience with tracheostomy care and Broviac line management is essential.

Schedule & Floating

Expect 3–12 hour shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays. Contract staff float to PICU, Pediatrics, and CICU as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year Level III NICU experience
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Proficiency in respiratory management, including care of intubated patients
• Experience with premature infants (28+ weeks)
• Competency in central line management
