Emergency Department RN — Roanoke, VA
Freestanding Emergency Department | 13-Week Contract
This travel RN opportunity is based in a freestanding emergency department in the Roanoke, VA area, providing care to both high- and low-acuity patients in a fast-paced, community-focused setting.
Shift & Schedule
- 11:00 PM–11:00 AM (night shift)
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 4 weekend shifts per schedule block
Clinical Scope
The ED team manages a broad patient population ranging from lower-acuity presentations to critically ill patients. Day-to-day responsibilities include medication administration, emergency assessments, lab coordination, and direct care of critical patients. Candidates must be comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively within a small, close-knit care team.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Emergency Department nursing experience (required)
- Demonstrated ability to care for critically ill patients
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (all required)
Preferred Qualifications
- ENPC certification
