IMCU/Stepdown Nurse – 12-Hour Nights
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced IMCU nurse to join a mixed medical-surgical stepdown unit. You'll care for high-acuity patients transitioning from critical care, including those recovering from cardiac events, managing chronic ventilators and tracheostomies, and experiencing complex medical conditions.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights (PM to nights rotation)
- Every other weekend
- Every other holiday
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year IMCU experience
- 2+ years recent medical-surgical and telemetry experience
- Demonstrated competence in neuro care, MI management, and tracheostomy care
- Ability to manage patients with complex medical needs
- Proficiency with automated medication dispensing systems
- Strong telemetry rhythm strip interpretation skills (competency assessment on day 1)
- BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional critical care experience
