Cardiac Cath Lab – Des Moines, IA

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab professional to join its interventional cardiology team on a 13-week contract. You'll work in a high-volume cardiac catheterization lab supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures, including structural heart and electrophysiology cases.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday (4×10 hours)
• One random day off during the week
• On-call: 1–2 nights per week + every third weekend (7:30 PM Friday – 7:00 AM Monday)
• Holiday coverage required (1–2 of 3 winter holidays, unless unit is closed)
• Must be willing to float across nearby Des Moines campuses to similar units

Requirements

• 24 months of current Cardiac Cath Lab experience (required)
• Scrubbing experience within the previous 3 years (required)
• Circulating/monitoring experience (required)
• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate licensure (required)
• AHA ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Structural heart experience (highly preferred)
• EP experience (highly preferred)
• Trauma Level II experience (required); Trauma Level I (preferred)
• Travel experience (highly preferred)

Multiple orientation dates available: 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23, 11/30, 12/7

Note: Candidates must be located at least 50 miles from the facility.
