Location: Delano, CA
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour days, Monday–Friday)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role
The facility seeks an experienced Clinical Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutritional care to acute inpatient populations, including those with complex nutritional needs and those at nutritional risk. You'll conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement evidence-based nutrition plans, and serve as a clinical educator for the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing nutritional assessments and reassessments; identify nutritional diagnoses
- Develop individualized medical nutrition therapy plans, including parenteral nutrition management
- Monitor nutritional intake, initiate interventions, and educate patients and families
- Document interventions and evaluate patient response to care
- Mentor dietetic interns and support clinical staff
- Work collaboratively across the interdisciplinary team
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or equivalent (required)
- Master's Degree (required if RD exam eligibility began on or after 1/1/24)
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required within 6 months of residency completion
- Minimum 2 years recent clinical dietitian experience
- Extensive experience managing parenteral nutrition
- Current BLS certification
- Proficiency with electronic health records systems
- Ability to function independently and work across multiple clinical areas
- Float requirements within the facility network as needed
