Respiratory Therapist – Cardiac Critical Care
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for its Cardiac Critical Care Unit (CVICU). You'll provide direct respiratory care to critically ill cardiac patients, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other specialists to optimize patient outcomes.
Shift & Contract Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of respiratory therapy experience
- Minimum 2 weeks of critical care experience
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Texas state RCP certification
- Current driver's license or state ID
Clinical Scope
You'll deliver advanced respiratory support to post-cardiac-surgery patients, septic patients, and other high-acuity cardiac cases. Responsibilities include ventilator management, airway care, therapeutic procedures, and patient assessment.
Credentialing & Health Requirements
Standard onboarding includes background check, drug screen, education verification, professional references, and current vaccinations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap). TB screening and fit testing required.
