Med/Surg Telemetry RN – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. This is a rotating shift position with potential to float to other med/surg and emergency department areas caring for similar patient populations.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts (Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Shifts may rotate to meet operational needs
• Must work at least every other holiday
• 13-week contract
• Start date: December 4, 2026

Requirements

• Current Ohio license or compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 12 months permanent experience in med/surg nursing or telemetry
• Active certifications required: BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, and NIHSS
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, or supervisor required (from past 12 months)

What to Expect

• Orientation includes ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate assessment (two attempts to pass)
• Patient care focused on medical and surgical populations requiring telemetry monitoring
• Potential for float assignments to maintain continuity of care

• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Background check and fingerprinting completed within 48 hours of contract signing
