Emergency Department RN – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week contract working night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), three 12-hour days per week.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of ER experience
• Current RN license (California)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• One professional reference within the last 2 years

Clinical Scope

This role includes managing high-acuity patients with skills such as:

• Arterial line and central line management
• BiPAP/CPAP support
• Ventilator care and continuous IV sedation
• Blood product administration
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• IV vasopressor administration
• Procedural sedation monitoring
• Care of trauma patients (gunshot wounds, amputations, head injuries, CVAs, near drowning, seizures)

Scheduling & Expectations

• Patient ratio: 4 patients per shift
• No floating required; no on-call
• Weekend coverage based on department needs
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Pre-approved time off must be requested at time of submission

Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are welcome. California license must be in hand at submission.
