Respiratory Therapist – CVICU
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for its Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This is a 90-week contract assignment on the night shift.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Contract Length: 90 weeks
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of critical care experience
- Current NBRC registration
- RCP certification through the Texas Medical Board
- Minimum 2 weeks of recent critical care experience
About the Role
You'll deliver respiratory care to high-acuity cardiovascular patients in the CVICU, managing mechanical ventilation, advanced airway support, and respiratory protocols specific to post-cardiac surgery and hemodynamically unstable patients.
Credentials & Compliance
Standard onboarding includes license verification, background check, drug screening, vaccinations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap, Varicella), TB screening, fit testing, EPLS certification, and skills assessment. Professional references and employment verification required.
