Medical Surgical Telemetry RN — Milton, MA
13-Week Contract | 12-Hour Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
This Med/Surg Telemetry unit cares for a wide variety of surgical patients with overflow medical patients. RNs float between all Med/Surg Telemetry units as needed and are responsible for independently reading and interpreting their own cardiac rhythm strips — there are no telemetry technicians on this unit.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- 72 guaranteed hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
- Current Massachusetts RN license (required at time of submission)
- BLS and ACLS certification
Pre-Acceptance Testing
Candidates must complete and pass two assessments administered via Zoom prior to acceptance:
- Dysrhythmia test (20 questions)
- Medications test (20 questions)
- Passing score: 85% | One attempt only — no retakes or remediation
A study guide with tips and answers is provided to help candidates prepare. Testing must be completed within 48 hours of confirmation.
Additional Requirements
- Influenza vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Massachusetts RN license required at submission
- Charting experience with electronic health records required
