OR Nurse – Los Angeles, CA

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced OR Nurse to join its surgical services team. You'll deliver coordinated nursing care in a fast-paced operating room environment, supervise and direct nursing staff activities, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Shift & Schedule

• 4 x 10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Call required: Main OR and cardiac surgery call, approximately 10–15 on-calls per month (including 1–2 weekends per month)
• Contract duration: 13 weeks

Clinical Scope

You'll work primarily in the main operating room performing general surgical cases, with occasional cardiac surgery procedures. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation, delegation of nursing duties, and collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical technicians.

Requirements

• License: Current RN licensure in California
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and Hospital Fire & Life Safety (HLFS) required
• Experience: Minimum two years recent acute care OR experience; main OR and open-heart experience essential
• Education: BSN preferred
• EMR: Must be proficient with electronic health records
