Med Surg Tele

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN | 13-Week Contract | Milton, MA

This telemetry unit manages a diverse patient population including surgical patients and medical overflow cases. Nurses function independently in cardiac monitoring — there are no telemetry technicians on this unit, so all RNs are expected to read and interpret their own rhythm strips.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• 72 guaranteed hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)
• Float between Medical-Surgical Telemetry units as needed

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: November 24, 2026
• Location: Milton, MA

Required Before Acceptance

Candidates must pass two proctored tests (administered via Zoom) prior to placement:

• Dysrhythmia exam (20 questions) — 85% passing score
• Medication exam (20 questions) — 85% passing score
• One attempt only; no remediation or re-sit permitted
• Testing must be completed within 48 hours of confirmation

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
• BLS and ACLS required
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)

Preferred

• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been separated for at least 6 months and be in good standing to be considered.
