Medical-Surgical Stroke Stepdown RN — Night Shift | Utica, NY

This 13-week travel contract places you in a fast-paced Medical-Surgical Stroke Stepdown unit caring for adult patients with complex neurological and medical needs. Night shift runs 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, with 36 guaranteed hours per week.

Unit Overview

The unit manages a diverse adult population with diagnoses including stroke, altered mental status, renal conditions and dialysis needs, COPD, CHF, ia, and general medical-surgical presentations. You'll work with standard stepdown equipment including IV pumps, nasogastric tubes, and feeding tubes.

Schedule Details

• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12 nights)
• Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed
• Floating to other units is required
• Scrub color: Navy Blue

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience with stroke stepdown background
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Active, unencumbered New York RN license
• Current AHA BLS certification
• NIHSS certification required (may be obtained prior to start date)
• NURSYS license verification required
• Locals within 75 miles are eligible; local rates apply
