Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Position Overview
The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for night shift coverage. You'll care for patients across all age groups—from neonates to geriatrics—in a fast-paced acute care setting that manages approximately 200 patients daily.
Shift & Schedule
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend; may increase to meet unit needs
- Holiday Commitment: Must work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility able to call off once per two-week pay period
- Start Date: ASAP
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of emergency department experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Compact state license in hand at time of submission
- 2 professional references (covering 1 year within last 3 years)
