Cath Lab Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a 20-week contract assignment, working 4×10-hour shifts on days. This is a first-to-float position with on-call requirements.
Shift & Call
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts, every other weekend
- On-Call: Rotate call approximately 1×/week for inpatient and emergent cases
- Weekend Call: 1 weekend per month (Friday evening through Monday morning)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Clinical Scope
You'll work in a high-volume interventional facility performing 10–22 cases daily across five suites, including coronary interventions, peripheral vascular, neuro-intervention, EP procedures, and general IR. Cases operate with 2–4 staff: one tech scrubs, one monitors hemodynamics, and an RN manages conscious sedation. You may serve as Lead Tech, coordinating room assignments.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Current ARRT certification and Fluoroscopy certification
- BLS certification
- Current cath lab experience required
- Comfort with conscious and moderate sedation
- Proficiency in procedural processes, airway management, and cardiac drips (Integrilin, dopamine, vasopressors)
- Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps
- RCIS or CCT certification is not accepted

- Cancellation policy: Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
