Labor & Delivery Nurse – Night Shift
Assignment Overview
The facility's Women Services unit is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll work nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) on a busy labor and delivery service with 10 LDR rooms, 2 operating rooms, and 2 rooms. This is a full-time position with 36 guaranteed hours per week and rotating weekend/holiday coverage.
Clinical Scope
You'll provide direct care to laboring and postpartum patients, including couplet care (mother and baby). You must be comfortable circulating in the OR for cesarean sections and managing the full spectrum of labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care. The unit follows AWHONN patient ratio standards.
Requirements
- Current RN license (Texas)
- Minimum 1–2 years labor and delivery experience
- Ability to circulate in OR for cesarean deliveries
- Current certifications: NRP, AWHONN, FM, BLS, ACLS
- Comfortable with rotating weekends and holiday assignments
