Contract RN – Emergency Department
Position Details

- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

About the Unit
The unit manages acute care patients requiring stabilization, assessment, and emergency interventions. This is a fast-paced environment where clinical judgment and quick decision-making are essential.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform IV starts, 12-lead EKGs, and comprehensive patient assessments
- Provide direct patient care in an emergency setting
- Collaborate with the charge nurse, RNs, and clinical staff to deliver safe, timely care
- Work independently and as part of a cohesive team
Requirements
- Current RN license (valid in Texas)
- Less than 2 years of nursing experience
- Ability to work night shifts in a high-acuity environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a free-standing emergency department or similar acute-care setting
- ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
