Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Physical Therapist to join its rehabilitation team on a 13-week contract. You'll work days, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts with flexible start times (7:00 AM–3:00 PM range) as agreed with the Director of Rehabilitation. No weekends or on-call duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care needs
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans following regulatory and clinical standards
• Administer therapeutic interventions including manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, assistive device training, and wound care
• Assess patient progress, adjust treatments, and document outcomes in the electronic health record
• Provide consultation and education to patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Supervise physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students as needed
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation team meetings
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatment minutes and clinical records per regulatory requirements
• Adhere to APTA standards, state practice acts, and professional ethics

Required Qualifications

• Valid Missouri state PT license
• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience
• Long-term care or rehabilitation setting experience required
• New graduates welcome if Level II clinical experience completed (not observation-only)

• 13 weeks
• Monday–Friday, 8-hour days
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Guaranteed hours
