Position Overview
The facility is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide skilled rehabilitation services to patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting.
Shift & Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8-hour days
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (flexible start/end times with supervisor approval, provided schedule remains consistent)
- No on-call or weekend requirements
- 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities
- Screen and evaluate patients; develop individualized care plans using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
- Deliver skilled treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities and exercises, modalities, and assistive device training
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Document all services, treatment minutes, and outcomes in the electronic record per regulatory requirements
- Communicate with the care team about patient progress, barriers, and discharge planning
- Provide consultation to patients, families, and caregivers
- Participate in care conferences, utilization review, and facility in-services
- Supervise occupational therapy assistants, aides, or students as needed
- Maintain compliance with NBCOT/AOTA and Missouri state practice standards
Requirements
- Current Missouri OT license
- Minimum 1 year occupational therapy experience
- Long-term care or rehabilitation setting experience required
- NBCOT certification
