Labor and Delivery Nurse — 12-Hour Night Shift
The Opportunity
The facility's Family Birthplace is seeking experienced Labor and Delivery nurses for a 13-week contract. You'll work nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) in a private-room birthing environment equipped with infant warmers, monitoring equipment, and specialized operating rooms for Cesarean deliveries. You'll collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and lactation consultants to provide individualized care throughout labor, delivery, and early postpartum recovery.
What You'll Need
- 2+ years of current Labor and Delivery experience
- Current Post Partum/Mother Baby experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Massachusetts RN license
- Active BLS (American Heart Association), NRP, and STABLE certifications
- Your own vehicle for commute
- Ability to work every other weekend and major holidays as scheduled
- Permanent address in Massachusetts (or within commutable distance; must be more than 50 miles from facility)
Schedule & Expectations
- 36 hours per week, guaranteed
- Every other weekend and holiday availability required
- 8 hours of non-billable orientation
- Maximum 5 days of requested time off (must be specified at submission)
- All scheduling requests finalized before offer
