Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. You will deliver coordinated, high-acuity nursing care while supervising and directing nursing staff activities. This role requires strong clinical judgment, collaboration across disciplines, and the ability to manage complex patient situations in a fast-paced environment.

Shift & Schedule

• 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• 36 or 48-hour weekly options
• 18-week contract

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, analyze, and develop individualized care plans for emergency patients
• Implement nursing interventions and evaluate patient progress
• Supervise and coordinate care delivery by nursing team members
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning support
• Manage aggressive or crisis situations safely and professionally
• Document care and communicate clinical updates effectively

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in California
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
• AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification
• AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification
• TEAM, TEAM-A, or CPI certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Electronic health record proficiency required

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
