This day-shift Medical-Surgical position is a 13-week contract offering 36 guaranteed hours per week on a fast-paced acute care unit. Candidates with 3–4 years of solid Med-Surg experience and a strong, humble, positive attitude are encouraged to apply.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required; first to float
- Holiday rotation shared with permanent staff
Unit & Clinical Scope
- Acute medical-surgical unit serving a general Med-Surg patient population
- Telemetry-capable unit — must be comfortable reading EKG strips and caring for telemetry patients
- Hospitalist/intensivist on-site; respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
- IV and PICC team available during daytime hours
- PCT support (1–3 aides depending on census)
Float Requirement
Travelers are assigned a home-base unit but are required to float between both Med-Surg units. Orientation includes one shift on each unit (two total orientation shifts).
Requirements
- 3–4 years of Med-Surg experience (day shift)
- BLS certification
- Comfortable with telemetry and EKG strip interpretation
- Scrub color: Navy

- Cancellation policy: up to 4 shifts may be cancelled per 13-week assignment
