Interventional Rad Tech

Interventional Radiology Technologist | La Jolla, CA | Day Shift | 13-Week Contract

This opportunity is in an active interventional radiology department with a strong focus on neuro and vascular procedures. Candidates must be able to both scrub and circulate in complex IR cases.

Shift & Schedule

• 4x10-hour days, 06:45–17:30
• Approximately 10 on-call shifts per month: one primary call per week, one secondary call, and one weekend call rotation covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Clinical Scope

• Neuro and vascular interventional procedures — scrub and circulate required
• High-acuity IR environment with a broad procedural case mix
• Refer to skills checklist for full scope of required competencies

Required Certifications & Licensure

• AHA BLS
• CRT (California Radiologic Technology certification)
• ARRT rad/fluoro permit
• California license in hand at time of submittal (Temp or Perm accepted; no EMSA)

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of concurrent experience in interventional radiology
• Demonstrated neuro and vascular scrub and circulate experience
• Travel experience required
• Must not reside within 100 miles of the facility
• One supervisory reference required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Scheduling Notes

• Maximum 7 days RTO; no new RTO requests after submittal
• Interview availability expected within the same day or next 3 business days
