Medical Surgical Telemetry RN — Milton, MA

13-Week Contract | 12-Hour Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

This Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit cares for a wide variety of surgical patients with overflow medical patients at varying acuity levels. RNs float between Med-Surg and Telemetry units as needed and are fully responsible for reading and interpreting their own cardiac monitor strips — no telemetry technicians are on the unit.

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• 72 guaranteed hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)

Pre-Acceptance Testing

Candidates must pass two assessments administered via Zoom prior to acceptance:

• Dysrhythmia test (20 questions)
• Medication test (20 questions)
• Passing score: 85% | One attempt only — no remediation or re-sit
• Testing must be completed within 48 hours of confirmation
• A study guide with tips will be provided; candidates are strongly encouraged to prepare thoroughly before testing.

Additional Notes

• Massachusetts RN license must be active at time of submission
• Candidates must be in good standing and separated from this health system for a minimum of 6 months to be considered
