Pediatric Surgical Nurse – Operating Room

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced OR nurse for a pediatric surgical program. This is a rotating shift role in a high-volume surgical environment performing 15–28 cases daily.

Clinical Scope

You'll support a range of pediatric surgical procedures including tonsillectomies, hypospadias repair, craniotomies, cardiac procedures, orthopedic surgeries, and rectus muscle repairs. Scrubbing is preferred but not required.

Shift & Schedule

• Rotating shifts: 2 eight-hour shifts (6:30 AM–3:00 PM) and 2 twelve-hour shifts (6:30 AM–7:00 PM) per week
• One call shift per week with a 30-minute response time
• 1–2 weekend call responsibilities
• Rotating holiday coverage with mandatory standby
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Contract Duration: 91 weeks

Responsibilities

• Float to 5N/1W and Children's units as needed
• Serve as Charge Nurse during midnight shifts when assigned
• Participate in rotational afternoon and weekend coverage

Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS certification
• Valid driver's license with address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Willingness to complete 2-day orientation and checklist
