Operating Room Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced OR nurse for a 13-week contract in Middletown, NY. You'll work in an acute-care operating room supporting surgical procedures and perioperative patient care.
Schedule & Staffing
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour days)
- Schedule: 3 days per week plus on-call
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Nursing License in good standing
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- COVID-19 vaccination required (no declination forms accepted)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced nursing degree
- American Nurses Association–endorsed certification or Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses certification
Important Policy Notes
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with your application—no exceptions
- Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation week, unit closures, holidays, or weeks with scheduled RTO
- Travelers cannot volunteer to leave shifts or refuse assignments and receive guaranteed pay
This is a straightforward, clinical assignment. Interested candidates should have strong OR experience and be prepared for an active perioperative environment.
