Endoscopy / GI Lab RN — Nyack, NY

8-Week Contract | Days, Monday–Friday

This GI Lab position offers a structured weekday schedule with no self-scheduling. Shifts run Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (8-hour days with a 30-minute lunch break).

Unit Overview

The Endoscopy/GI Lab is a multi-suite procedural unit supported by technicians and nursing assistants. The team manages the full continuum of endoscopy care — pre-procedure, intraoperative, and post-procedure recovery. Common cases include EGD and colonoscopy. Experience with endoscopic ultrasound and bronchoscopy is a plus but not required.

Requirements

  • Current RN license valid in New York
  • Minimum 1 year of endoscopy experience required
  • ACLS (AHA) and BLS certifications required
  • Flu vaccine required
  • Strong vital signs and cardiac monitoring skills
  • Navy blue scrubs

Schedule & Expectations

  • Monday–Friday, no weekend call requirement (voluntary only)
  • No floating
  • No on-call obligations on weeknights or holidays
  • 40 guaranteed hours per week
  • Department-specific orientation provided

Good to Know

Street metered parking and a nearby parking garage are available. This unit is traveler-friendly with a strong history of extensions. A 14-day written notice is required for cancellation; no call-offs are permitted.
