Radiation Therapy Technologist — Radiation Oncology | Rochester, NY

This is a 13-week contract opportunity for a Radiation Therapy Technologist within a busy Radiation Oncology department. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, with 8-hour shifts dependent on departmental needs. Guaranteed 40 hours per week.

Clinical Scope

You'll deliver external beam radiation therapy and related treatments to adult oncology patients across the age spectrum — young adult through older adult. Techniques and skills used in this role include:

• External Beam Therapy and IMRT
• CBCT/kV/mV imaging and B-Mode Acquisition targeting
• Custom mold and shield fabrication
• Block cutting, portal casting, wedges, and compensation filters
• Tumor localization and dose calculation
• Radiation safety, isolation precautions/PPE, and rapid response protocols

Float & Scheduling

Candidates must be willing to float to all other Radiation Oncology locations as needed. No weekend shifts required.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist Therapy License *(must be in hand at time of submission)*
• ARRT (T) certification
• Current BLS
• Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience
• Familiarity with treatment planning and delivery systems (Ethos or Varian experience preferred)
• Electronic charting experience required

• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Maximum 10 days of pre-approved time off allowed during the contract
