PCU / Progressive Care Unit — Travel Nurse

Toledo, OH | Night Shift | 13-Week Contract

This mixed progressive care unit manages adult and geriatric patients across PCU, Med-Surg Telemetry, and Med-Surg acuity levels. The clinical team cares for patients presenting with trauma, multi-system failure, orthopedic, and GI diagnoses in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• No block scheduling; schedules may be adjusted with two weeks' notice

Float Expectations

Floating within the service line and across multiple affiliated facilities in the Toledo area is an expectation for all travelers.

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Telemetry/dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
• Proficiency in peripheral line care, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions
• First-time travelers accepted; prior trauma unit experience is a plus

Preferred Skills

• Charge nurse experience
• Experience with vents and
• Teaching hospital background
