Ultrasound Technologist – Night Shift | Charlotte, NC | 13-Week Contract

This acute care ultrasound position covers inpatient and emergency department patients across a busy imaging department. The unit performs a high volume and broad range of studies, with a caseload of 8–12 patients per day across 6 rooms.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM, Monday–Friday
• No call, no floating, no weekend requirements

Clinical Scope

• General, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound examinations
• Patient population spans all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Vascular studies including carotid, arterial (ABI/PVRs), peripheral vascular, upper/lower extremity venous and arterial, and renal artery duplex
• Procedures: paracentesis, thoracentesis, ultrasound-guided biopsy/FNA
• NICU and ER portables
• Occasional OR case assistance required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• BLS and RDMS-AB required
• Strong proficiency in OB/GYN, arterial, and venous studies is essential
• First-time travelers accepted

Preferred Certifications

• RDMS-OB, RVT

Additional Details

• Scrubs: Royal Blue (not provided)
• Orientation: 1.5 days
• NC or Compact license required (pending applications accepted at submission)
• Up to 7 days of pre-approved RTO; no RTO during the first week of the contract
