Emergency Room RN — Night Shift | Charlotte, NC

13-Week Contract | 4x12 Nights (18:45–07:15)

This fast-paced Emergency Department cares for a high-acuity adult population presenting with STEMI, stroke, and trauma. The unit averages approximately 170 patient visits per day across 53 rooms, with a multidisciplinary support structure that includes rapid response, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services.

Shift & Scheduling

• 12-hour nights: 18:45–07:15
• Every other weekend required
• No call, no float
• No block scheduling; RTO cannot be requested after signing

Required Skills & Certifications

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience
• IV start, , telemetry, conscious sedation
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Blood product administration, CVA and trauma experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, MOAB

Preferred

• ENPC certification
• Trauma background

Additional Requirements

• Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start
• Orientation: 36–48 hours
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemption accepted)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• NC or compact license (pending acceptable at submission)
• Teamwork-oriented candidates who can adhere to a strictly enforced attendance policy
