Medical-Surgical Nursing – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical nurse for a 13-week contract in Wichita, KS. This is a night shift role (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) on a 4x12 schedule with every other weekend worked. No call required.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, four 12-hour shifts per week
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- No on-call duties
- Guaranteed 48 hours per week
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
Clinical Details
You'll provide care to medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced unit environment. Be prepared to float to similar units on the same campus or to other campuses within Wichita as needed.
Requirements
- Current nursing license (RN); verification through Nursys required
- BLS/ACLS and ARDS certifications
- Ability to demonstrate competency in EKG interpretation and unit-specific clinical skills
- Physical ability to perform a fit test
What to Expect
- Scrubs: Ceil blue
- EHR system used at the facility
- Standard onboarding health requirements (vaccinations, TB screening, background check, drug screen)
