Night Shift Nursing – Medical-Surgical Unit

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its medical-surgical unit on a 13-week contract. This is a night shift role offering stability and predictable scheduling.

Shift & Schedule

• Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Pattern: 4 x 12 nights (every other weekend)
• Call: None required
• Start Date: November 22, 2026

Unit Details

You'll provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical setting. Be prepared for float assignments to similar units on the same campus or other locations within Wichita as needed. Wear ceil blue scrubs.

Requirements

• Current RN license (verification through Nursys required)
• Standard immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap
• 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Gold)
• Health statement and fit test
• ACLS certification (EKG competency required during onboarding)

Onboarding Includes

Core competencies assessment, EKG exam, charting system test-out, skills validation, background check, and required health screenings. You'll work in the facility's electronic health record system.

What We're Looking For

Reliable, clinically competent RNs comfortable with medical-surgical patients and flexible unit assignments. Strong communication and teamwork essential.
