NICU RN – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an RN for its Level 3 NICU. This is a night shift role (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with flexible scheduling and guaranteed 36 hours per week. The contract runs for 13 weeks, beginning November 22, 2026.
Unit Details
You'll work in a busy NICU caring for high-acuity neonates. The unit is staffed with Charge RNs, Code Neonatal RNs, clerks, and milk technicians to support comprehensive patient care. You'll wear navy blue scrubs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the NICU
- Function as a float pool nurse; you may be called to support other units within the Women's Hospital as needed (no patient assignment during float periods)
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Current RN license (Texas)
- BLS/CPR and NICU-specific certifications preferred
- Ability to work nights with flexibility
- Willingness to float to other units
- Standard onboarding requirements: physical exam, immunizations (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza), TB testing, background check, and drug screening
