Night Shift Nursing Position – Medical-Surgical Unit
Position Overview
The facility is seeking registered nurses for a night shift position on a medical-surgical unit in Wichita, Kansas. This is a 13-week contract with guaranteed 48 hours per week.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour nights)
- Every other weekend
- No on-call requirements
- 4 shifts per week
Unit Details
You'll provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit. Be aware that you may be asked to float to similar units on the same campus or another campus within Wichita as staffing needs require.
Requirements
- Current RN license (Nursys verification required at submission)
- ACLS certification
- Immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap
- 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot)
- Fit test and health statement
- Professional references (2 required)
- Background check, drug screen, and employment verification
What to Expect
- Ceil blue scrubs
- Electronic charting system in use
- EKG competency and core competencies testing required during onboarding
- Standard hospital credentialing and onboarding process
