Medical-Surgical Nursing – Wichita, KS
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a registered nurse for a medical-surgical unit. This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule & Expectations
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, four days per week
- Every other weekend
- No on-call responsibilities
- You may float to similar units on the same campus or other campuses within Wichita
Requirements
- Current RN license (Kansas)
- Nursys license verification
- ACLS or PALS certification preferred
- Willingness to complete facility-specific onboarding, including core competencies assessment, EKG exam, and electronic health record (EHR) orientation
What to Expect
You'll provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit, managing a variety of patient populations and acuity levels. Standard nursing duties include assessment, medication administration, wound care, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Wear ceil blue scrubs.
Pre-Employment & Onboarding
Standard background check, drug screening, and immunization verification (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, TB screening) are required. You'll also complete facility orientation modules and skills validation before your start date of November 22, 2026.
