Medical-Surgical Nursing – Night Shift
Position Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 4 days per week
- Schedule: Every other weekend; no call required
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week
- Start Date: November 22, 2026
- Location: Wichita, KS
- Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs
About the Role
You'll provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit managing a diverse patient population across varying acuity levels. This is an excellent opportunity to work nights in a stable, predictable schedule with no on-call obligations.
Float Expectations
You may be asked to float to similar units on the same campus or at another campus within the Wichita area. Flexibility and adaptability are essential.
Required Credentials & Licenses
- Active RN license (Kansas or equivalent; Nursys verification required)
- Current license/certificate verification
- BLS/ACLS or willingness to obtain during onboarding
Onboarding Requirements
Standard facility requirements include immunizations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap), tuberculosis screening (2-step PPD or IGRA), fit testing, background check, EKG competency exam, and core competency validation. You'll complete orientation on facility systems and unit-specific protocols.
