Med/Surg Travel Nurse — Nights | Wichita, KS

This 13-week contract places you on a med/surg unit in Wichita, KS, working a 4x12 night schedule (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). The position is filling a vacant permanent need, with a target start date of November 22, 2026.

Schedule & Float

• 4x12 nights; every other weekend required
• No on-call obligations
• Float requirement: candidates should be prepared to float to like units on the same campus or to another campus within the Wichita area

Dress Code

• Ceil blue scrubs

Clinical Scope

The unit provides general medical/surgical care across a range of adult patient populations and acuity levels. EKG interpretation competency is required, indicating cardiac monitoring responsibilities within the scope of practice.

Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week

• Active RN license (Nursys verification)
• Skills checklist

Required for Onboarding

• Core competencies and unit-specific testing (including EKG exam)
• Immunization records: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza
• TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-Spot)
• Fit test and health statement
• 11-panel drug screen
• Criminal background check
• Driver's license or state-issued ID
• Education and employment verification
