Medical-Surgical Telemetry — Night Shift RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a medical-surgical telemetry unit. This is a 13-week contract with a guaranteed 72 hours biweekly. Weekends and holidays are part of the regular schedule.

Key Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of med-surg telemetry experience
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to pass a telemetry competency exam
• Knowledge of critical care pathways
• Charge nurse experience preferred

Pre-Assignment Testing

You will be required to complete and pass two competency exams prior to your start date:

• ECG/Telemetry exam
• Medications exam

Both tests are administered via Zoom within 48 hours of your offer. A passing score is 85%; there is one attempt only, with no opportunity for remediation. Study materials will be provided in advance — we recommend thorough preparation.

Unit Expectations

• Float to similar units and overflow areas as needed
• Provide documented professional development activities
• Biweekly orientation schedule

Eligibility

• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Cannot have worked at this facility in any capacity (travel, permanent, or per diem) within the past 6 months
