Operating Room (OR) Scrub Technician / Nurse — Travel Contract

Location: Latrobe, PA | Contract: 13 Weeks | Start: ASAP

Shift Details

Rotating days — weeks will alternate between 5x8-hour shifts (6:30 AM–3:00 PM) and 4x10-hour shifts (6:30 AM–5:00 PM). Call shifts are included. Weekend coverage required approximately 1–2 shifts per contract.

Unit Overview

This active OR suite handles a broad range of surgical specialties across adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations. Daily census runs approximately 20 cases across 9 rooms. Specialties include:

• General surgery and colorectal
• Robotic-assisted surgery (GYN, urology, GI, thoracic, cardiothoracic)
• Orthopedics, spine, and small joint (wrist, ankle)
• ENT, neurosurgery, and thoracic
• Urology and gynecology

Scrub roles are required across multiple service lines.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience; prior charge experience required
• BLS (AHA only) required; current at submission
• Active Pennsylvania or Compact RN/CST license required at submission
• Charting system experience required; prior experience with the facility's platform preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must be willing to float to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius
• Must be available for every other holiday
• No local candidates (must reside 50+ miles from facility based on driver's license)

Additional Notes

• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Two supervisor references preferred
• All compliance and pre-start modules must be completed before first day on-site
