Behavioral Health RN – Night Shift | Travel Contract

Latrobe, PA | 13-Week Contract | Nights

This travel opportunity is for an experienced Behavioral Health RN to join a psychiatric unit caring primarily for adolescent and pediatric patients presenting with mood disorders. Candidates with the ability to cover both adult and pediatric behavioral health populations are strongly preferred, though highly experienced adult-only BH nurses will be considered.

Shift Details

• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Weekend coverage required; every other holiday expected
• Float within the facility and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius may be required

Clinical Environment

• Primary patient population: adolescents and pediatrics with mood disorders
• Supported by an interdisciplinary team including pharmacy, physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, rapid response, and interpretation services

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active Pennsylvania or Compact RN license
• BLS (AHA only)
• CCM or CPI certification
• Avade and/or CCM training strongly preferred

Minimum Qualifications

• 1 year of behavioral health nursing experience
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Two supervisor references preferred
• Available to work every other holiday

Additional Notes

• Pre-start modules must be completed before the first day on unit
• Fingerprinting, drug screen, and required labs must be completed within 24–48 hours of contract signing
• Former permanent employees of this health system must have a 2-year gap before returning via agency
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered); COVID-19 vaccine not required
