Pediatric ICU Nurse

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced RN for its Pediatric ICU. You'll provide comprehensive care to critically ill pediatric patients on a day shift schedule.

Shift & Duration

• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Full-time

Required Experience & Credentials

• Minimum 2 years of ventilator and Pediatric ICU experience
• Current RN license (Texas or compact state)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA) required
• BSN preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver routine and complex bedside care using the full nursing process
• Manage ventilator-dependent patients and monitor treatment effectiveness
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments; document all care provided
• Educate patients and families; assess learning needs and coordinate resources
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team; delegate tasks appropriately

Onboarding

• New hires attend facility orientation within first 30 days
• You'll be precepted by a designated trainer
• Competency validations required (facility-wide and Pediatric Services-specific)

Recent pediatric practice or perinatal RN residency experience is a plus.
