Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse – Float Pool
Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Location: Atlanta, GA
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Position Overview
Join the float pool serving all PCU and intermediate care floors. You'll provide care to cardiac patients across multiple units, maintaining flexibility and broadening your clinical experience.
Clinical Scope
- Manage patients with acute coronary syndromes (STEMI, NSTEMI) and chest pain presentations
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips: Milrinone, Dobutamine, Pressors
- Monitor post-cardiac intervention patients
- Float assignments include both acute PCU beds and lower-acuity telemetry beds
Requirements
- Current RN license
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years experience in acute cardiac or progressive care settings
- Minimal time off requested (RTO)
