CVOR Registered Nurse | Philadelphia, PA | 13-Week Contract

This CVOR RN position supports a high-acuity cardiovascular surgery program offering a full range of structural heart and advanced cardiovascular interventions, with dedicated cardiac surgery, anesthesia, perfusion, and critical care teams.

Shift & Schedule

• 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• On-call required: 1–2 days per week, one weekend per month
• Holiday call: one summer holiday and one winter holiday required
• No block scheduling; all time-off requests must be submitted at time of application

Float Requirements

Travelers may float to the General OR and to a sister facility approximately 20 miles away based on operational needs.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience; first-time travelers not accepted
• Must be able to both scrub and circulate all types of CVOR cases
• Required cardiovascular case experience: CABG, TAVR, LVAD/RVAD, MAZE procedure, Aortic Aneurysm repair, IABP, Mitral Valve replacement, Atrial Septal Defect repair, Pericardial Window, and Cardiomyoplasty
• General OR and Hybrid OR experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, infection control, laser and radiation safety, malignant hyperthermia, code response, Universal Protocol/time-out, urinary catheterization, and wound management

Certifications & Licensure

• BLS and ACLS required
• Pennsylvania single-state or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Pennsylvania fingerprinting required within one week of signing

• Scrubs provided by the facility
• Local candidates (within 50 miles) accepted; reduced rate applies
• Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required
