Cardiac Telemetry / Cardiovascular Step-Down

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced cardiac nurse for its specialized cardiovascular unit. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment focused on pre- and post-procedural cardiac patients.

About the Role

This position supports patients undergoing and recovering from cardiac catheterization procedures. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing patients post-heart catheterization
• Sheath removal and femoral/radial access site care (including TR band management)
• Cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Patient education and discharge preparation
• Collaborating with interventional cardiology teams

Required Experience

• Strong background in cardiac telemetry or cardiovascular step-down nursing
• Demonstrated competency in post-catheterization care
• Experience with vascular access site management
• Prior catheterization lab or interventional cardiology experience preferred

Schedule & Contract

• 4 × 10-hour AM shifts (40 hours/week)
• 13-week contract
• Start date: December 7, 2026
• Ready to work independently within one week of arrival

Qualifications

• Current RN license (state-specific)
• Current ACLS certification
• BLS certification
