Med/Surg Telemetry RN – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical telemetry unit, monitoring patients with cardiac and other acute conditions requiring continuous observation.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour rotating shifts
- Day: 07:00–19:30 | Night: 19:00–07:30
- Shifts may rotate to meet operational needs; the facility will work with your preference when possible
- Must work at least every other holiday
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to med/surg telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on patient management
- Potential to float to other units caring for similar patient populations
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months permanent, full-time experience in Med/Surg Telemetry nursing
- Current, permanent Ohio or Compact state RN license (required at submission)
- Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (2 attempts maximum)
- COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Valid background check and drug screening

- Contract duration: 13 weeks

- One professional reference from a manager or supervisor required (from past 12 months)
- Background check and credentials must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
