Med/Surg – Pulmonary RN | Night Shift | Des Moines, IA | 13-Week Contract

This night-shift travel opportunity is ideal for experienced Med/Surg RNs with a strong pulmonary background. The unit manages pulmonary and medical-surgical patients, including those requiring Bi-PAP, trach care, heparin drips, and potential COVID-positive care.

Shift Details

• Nights: 4×12-hour shifts, 48 hrs/week (36 hrs/week may be accommodated upon request)
• Every other or every third weekend, depending on staffing and census
• Holiday rotation required: 1–2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays

Float Requirement

Travel nurses will be required to float across multiple campuses in the Des Moines area.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of current Med/Surg experience
• Pulmonary patient care experience
• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
• Current Charge Nurse experience
• Level II trauma experience
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ventilated patients on Bi-PAP and trach care
• Level I trauma experience

Documentation Required at Submission

• Med/Surg–specific skills checklist
• Resume reflecting 24+ months of Med/Surg experience
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, or equivalent within the past 24 months
• Valid driver's license
• Active Iowa RN license documentation

First-time travelers with 2+ years of Med/Surg experience are welcome to apply.
