Neuroscience RN — Medical/Surgical Neurology Unit | Asheville, NC

This 13-week travel contract places you on a medical/surgical neuroscience unit in Asheville, NC. The unit manages a neurological patient population requiring close monitoring and skilled nursing care.

Shift & Schedule

• Every other weekend required
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Clinical Scope

• Neurological and neuroscience patient population
• Procedures include Foley insertion and IV placement
• Unit managed with a collaborative team including charge RNs, CNAs, and HUCs on both day and night shifts

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Preferred Experience

• Prior neuroscience or neuro med/surg nursing experience

Float

• May float to other medical/surgical floors as needed

Dress Code

• Navy blue scrubs

Ideal Candidate

You're outgoing, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced neurological environment. Candidates without ACLS and NIH certification will not be considered.
